It's very loud, and really makes this little sub sound much bigger than it is. It's about as loud as a 10" sub and 400 watt amplifier setup I had in the 90's- gives me a headache and makes my ears ring if I keep it turned up for more than a few songs. The down side to this amp is the low-pass crossover at 80Hz. The speaker is more than capable of reproducing sounds up to the 200Hz range, but with this sub, it only gets the lowest sounds. Kick drums sound great, and any hip-hop, rap or dance music with very low synthesized notes sound good, but for rock it doesn't work well- no bass guitar notes make it through. I'm returning this amplifier and buying one with a variable low pass crossover so that my speaker can pound out the bass guitar and other 80-200hz frequencies it's capable of.
