I will never buy a Pioneer again. Before this I owned one of the newest Pioneers, it cost twice as much as this and flat out sucked. Pioneer head units are beyond complicated - for no reason! Same features just uselessly complex and not intuitive at all.What I love about this Sony. It has Pandora, it works with my iPhone 4/iPod touch and MOST IMPORTANTLY and the REASON TO BUY... IT LETS YOU CONTROL YOUR IPOD WITH THE IPOD!!! This is huge. My pioneer used the head unit. It took forever to find my songs, my playlists, etc. and at 70mph I don't need to be looking down for too long. With this Sony you can put it on passenger control mode and control the iPod using the iPod. As easily as you select a song on your iPod is how easy it will work! Plus I found the various options all fairly easy to find and navigate. I haven't tried the Pandora feature--no iPhone--but the aux input sounds great with my droid. My only gripe (besides the lack of useful integration with android still common with most/all units) concerns the text display. Instead of words scrolling right to left, the text is shown in blocks of whatever fits the screen. This means album/song/artist info can be difficult to read as words get awkwardly cut off causing you to wait (remember, you're driving) for the display to change to show the next/remaining letters. Depending on how words or titles are separated by this, it can be tricky to piece together what you're reading. I wanted XM Radio for the long drives to the race track and this supports the new "SiriusXM Ready" antennas and seemed to be one of the cheapest ways to get XM in my truck (~$200 for everything including mounting hardware and adapters).Simply put, this just works. It was easy to install (realize I'm probably above average when it comes to these sorta things, but anyone who is relatively mechanically inclined should be able to figure it out). I've also tried the Pandora feature with my iPhone 4S and it works great. Not sure how often I'll use that honestly, but it's nice that the USB port charges my phone so I don't need to use a cigarette lighter power adapter. My only wishes are: 1.
