Sound quality is much better and feature set is great! Display is active and font is smaller than my old one so you see the full track names etc. and they do not get truncated. HPF and LPF work as expected and the cutover slope options are handy. 7 band EQ was also nice to have. Sony could have included the case for the face plate though as it was not included nor could I find a Sony one to purchase online. Integrated Pandora was what I was looking for as I'm sick of physical media and having an internal slot fo a usb stick of other iPod was what caught my eye. I'm able to throw a few sticks in there and should I need to swap them out, I just open the face and I have access to them. I do use an iPhone and have tested the external Pandora feature and also streaming over Bluetooth as well. Easy to setup and painless to use. I have a late 80's Porsche 911 and it has a fairly loud engine/exhaust so I was skeptical of the handsfree option for talking. I don't talk on the phone while driving and don't like using handsfree ear dongles. That said though, the included mic and hands free option works really well - even with my car... Often if I use some of the Pandora function (Primary reason for this phone) the connection will get confused and only completely turning off the car or turning off the phones Bluetooth will enable the connection to function. 2. The hands free features do not work properly. I have not been able to get the callers voice to play through the cars speakers. I spent 50 minutes working with Sony support. They were really useless. 3. Not much will fit in the interior compartment. A USB stick or an IPhone. Your android phones will not fit. The only reason an IPhone will fit is due to the custom low profile adapter that comes with this unit. 4. On occasion the Pandora application gets confused and locks up. Music sounds good from the unit, but the features that pump this phones price up dont work all that good. |
