USB input: It works great! I stuck a 16gb Sandisk Cruzer flash drive with a ton of music on it and it works easily and most importantly, QUICKLY without almost any lag! Navigating the tree of folders and files is very intuitive and easy to do, and is very responsive. Scrolling through the list of folders is fast using the main volume dial, and you 'click' the dial like a button and it will open up a folder or playback a file. I also connected my 3rd gen iPod Nano and my iPhone 3G and they also work perfectly and quickly. With the multiple lines of display, you have onscreen iPod/iPhone access with option to select by album, artist, song, and other categories just like on the device. The menus are all easy to scroll through. The volume button/selector button works flawlessly and this radio sounds great. I love it.The problem I have with it is that even in a little bit of sunlight there is so much glare on the display that it is practically unreadable. Maybe it's the height mine is installed at but I don't see any way of fixing this easily. My tinted windows are already pretty dark, I thought. At night this unit gets 5 stars from me and from any sane person. This radio is awesome. Unfortunately, I need to see the display during the daytime too. I can't return it because of how incredibly awesome everything else about this thing is, but seriously, Sony: Fix the glare. Oh, and as of today the pictures in the description are wrong. The only thing is, when the sun is behind me coming through the back glass, in my truck, I can't see what's on the screen. Though, this happened on my last cd player too so it's nothing I'm too worried about. Sub output and interface is great, even though I would liked to have had a direct access button to it like on my pioneer. For the money this cd player was amazing. The DSO actually works, and the EQ3 shapes the music exquisitely. A great Buy. |
